About Me: Hi! My name is Ms. Sipila. I love Disney, traveling, learning, and spending time with the people I love! I grew up in the Seattle area and moved to California for college. I attended Chapman University where I studied education, math and leadership while researching how to best support first generation college students (I am one myself!). I am passionate about higher education and ensuring every student receives a quality education to reach their own definition of success. I also try my best to get students to love and enjoy math.

How can families support for student success: Parents can support me by volunteering time in the classroom and ensuring their students are being respectful and responsible in class. Sixth grade concepts can become more challenging, so it is important students are listening in class so they know how to be successful. I also encourage students to have an organization system that works for them so they do not forget assignments and important due dates. I hold students to high expectations because I believe they can rise up to reach them and I want to ensure students are prepared for middle school and beyond.
