Greetings De Anza Community,

 

Welcome to the 2021-22 school year. We are thrilled to welcome all students and staff for 100 percent in person instruction! We've learned a lot through distance learning, our spring return, and our summer programming. We are happy to report that through the spring and summer there were zero incidence of COVID among the staff or students on campus! Similarly, we found students understood masking and hand washing policies and complied with the county guidance!

 

We understand that there is a lot of anxiety about the delta variant. We want to assure families that we are complying with all county, state, and federal guidelines. The ventilation in our building has been upgraded, masks are required, and there is hand sanitizer at every entrance/exit. We also encourage all of our students to get their vaccines, and we know that many have done so already.

 

For the past year and a half we have navigated uncertainty together. Thank you to the De Anza community for the grace you have given school staff as we learn right along with you.This return to school will look different than previous falls. We will emphasize using outdoor space, we will be in masks, we will have to think differently about how we run student events. We will continue to practice creativity and flexibility for the foreseeable future - and we know that in partnership with the community at large, we are up to the job!
